Ripken Baseball
Ripken Baseball is synonymous with baseball – their organization hosts amateur and youth baseball tournaments, camps, and clinics at their world class facilities. The Ripken brand is known for their innovative approach and inspires athletes through remarkable experiences.

Goals
Families and coaches were unable to come to the previous Ripken website and intuitively register and find tournaments. Our main goal was to create an experience for users to access information quickly and increase conversions for camps, clinics, and tournaments.
Challenges
Complex Registration
I worked directly with the Ripken team to understand the complexities of the registration process. Finding a tournament, learning crucial details, and registering were all separate paths that led users to separate pages.
Tournament Structures
We needed to understand the requirements of each tournament to determine the best way to consolidate into a single path. There were unique considerations for each we had to account for including age restrictions, game minimums, tournament rules, and pricing.
Strategy
Our first priority was the search experience. We prototyped a series of low-fidelity wireframes on a mobile device to follow the user journey to conversion.
Motion Graphics
The Ripken team was looking for a new way to add visual energy and interest to their new website. They loved the emotion of their professional photography, so we decided to use motion design to evoke even more out of their strong imagery.
Results
Users are now able to quickly find all tournament needs in one single location. We consolidated complex information, developed a scalable framework, and created a more efficient path to registration.
